Webinator 5

I've just noticed that Webinator 5 is available.
A few questions:
- Can the search and dowalk scripts from version 4.3 slotted into version 5 straight away without changes?
- Will I have to recreate my profiles?
- We currently have Webinator Professional V4.3, will we have to pay the full price to upgrade to 5?
- Is there any risk or problem staying with version 4.3?
Thanks,
Jan

What is the upgrade price for the commercial Webinator upgrade from v4 to v5?

So the original (V4.3) search script can just be slotted in Webinator 5 and the extra features will still be available?
The reason I'm asking is that our search script has been modified extensively (doWalk only slightly).

Using the old search with new dowalk you will get new walking features but no new search features. Most of the new features are walking related.

Mark,
Do you have a full list of improvements on Webinator 5?
I've had a look at your site and the new search script (at bottom of it) but am not really satisfied with that.
Is there some kind of document I can look at called 'What's new in Version 5'?
I'm specifically interested in fixes for increases in threads of anytox.exe, texis.exe and monitor.exe if the 'update and go' button has been pressed a bit too often. Without interference this brings down the server eventually. I know it can be fixed with -wipesched but would be best stop it happening in the first place.
Thanks,
Jan

Sorry, don't have a detailed document to point you to. There's a summary on the webinator page,
http://www.thunderstone.com/texis/site/ ... nator.html
under "Version 5 New Features". Also, the way the new scripts are distributed (the old webinatoradmin is bundled into dowalk) the main changelog is in the middle of the dowalk file. Look for the first "</script>". The changelog is just before that.
Scheduling issues were fixed some time ago in version 4. Make sure you have the latest version 4 scripts which are still available on the web site. Make sure you're clean by unscheduling anything that's scheduled, use -wipesched, then reschedule everything.
