Multiple Databases

Post by Thunderstone »

Dear Sir/Madam -

The product was recommend to me and I haven't had a chance to go
in depth in to the product but did have a quick question.

Can you submit a query search that will pull data back from multiple
databases ?

For example if we have a database of information (htm/txt etc.) on apples
and a database of information on oranges can the webinator be setup to
search those two folders with out having all that information in one source
database.

- ed

It could do that, but you might be better off keeping it all in one
database and adding a selection clause when you only want one or the other.

Here's the quick answer: Yes.

You'll have to edit the search script a little bit to enable this.

Hi, I just installed Webinator and I want to try using multiple databases.
The web docs tell how to create them but then says "See section 0.3.7 for
how to search these alternate databases."

How do I find section 0.3.8 ?

Is there a downloadable set of docs available?

Willie.
