So, from the above message, is it correct to conclude that the query abstract within the PDF document will never be displayed?

No. PDF files will be abstracted in the same manner as html pages. That thread does not discuss the abstract at all, but the Title. That user's own PDF documents had titles he didn't like.

When posting a follow-on to a thread please post in the same thread instead of making a new one.
