Multiple server scan - gives 403 error - Document access forbidden

Post by mikes0 »

We spider our domain across several physical servers -all running Apache.

When we run a search query, the following error is returned "Document access forbidden"

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Which URL or where exactly are you seeing that error?

Does the search url also refer to a load balanced server? The load balancer should redirect to the machine where webinator is installed.

There's no load balancer.
We have one site for our main pages - freeadvice.com
and one site for our forums - forum.freeadvice.com

and they're on separate servers, but he search machine (search.freeadvice.com) is on a single server.

Check your webserver's error log for details about the 403 error.

Just tried a search, and it looks like there is a mess from some of the information you are trying to include around the look and feel.
