In my search settings I have "any word forms" selected. However, all searches are looking for "Exact Match".
Shouldn't having "Any Word Forms" selected in the setting set the default to that for all searches?

Yes, as long as you haven't edited the search form to force something else. Are you using a custom search form, or one generated by the search script. How are you determining the searches are being done as "Exact Match"?

John:
I am determing that they are "Exact Match" because the search will not find the word "closet" when using the keywords, "closets" anf then when clicking the advanced button I see that the Exact Match is turned on. I switch to "any word form" and my search then returns the correct results..
Try for yourself. My url is

BTW we do have the commercial version..
My search settings are set to "Any Word Form? ????

You can add a <input type="hidden" name="sufs" value="2"> to the search form to force the any word form. Are you using the latest search scripts as it should work.

I'm not sure why the search setting doesn't work, if there is something changed in the search script or otherwise causing a problem. Our tests here indicate it does work.
