French search problems

I've translated most of the english words/phrases in the default script to create a new script called "searchFR" for my french users.

2 problems arise:

1) i changed the name of the "Advanced" button to "Recherche avancée" but now the button doesn't work

2) some of the translations do display properly especially when it's trying to display french accents

Any suggestions?

1. You will also need to change the name of the "Advanced" function in the script to match the button.

2. Probably a character set issue, and maybe expecting UTF-8?

Thanks John, the advanced button now works.

I'm still having problems display words with french characters even though my character set is UTF-8 ?

Is there another character set I should try?

John, just a quick update....

I'm now using iso-8859-1 (western europe) and the results are much better!
