Backup the existing indexes

Hi,
We are using Thunderstone search appliance for indexing our site. We are planning to migrate this server to different location and provide a different IP or so... I was wondering if there is anyway to backup the existing index on the box, we are just taking this precaution so that in case if there is something goes wrong.

Please help us and provide the information about how to "backup the index" of ThunderStone.

You can backup the settings, however you can not backup the walked data. If you have two appliances you can use the replication to push walked data to another appliance as a backup.
