I got the admin script from the examples, I got it running,
but it returns:
015 /webinator/db/gw-admin:45: No HTML/text allowed outside
functions

What would I change to fix this?

I'm not sure how it's "running" and returning an error.
It appears that you've broken the script in the course of editing it.
Download the original again and compare it to what you have.

You should also not place the admin script in the database directory.
