Strange display of french in search results

Hi,
Webinator is displaying the following as a result

"Management Ref./référence: ADM 1.1 + PER/POL"

instead of

"Management Ref./référence: ADM 1.1 + PER/POL"

It doesn't seem to be interepreting the french accents correctly.

Any ideas.?

forgot to mention the Source Default Charset in the walk settings is ISO-8859-1

What do you have the storage and display charsets set to? It looks as if you have the storage and display in UTF-8.

They are additional settings in the Webinator interface.

Both the storage and display charsets were blank. Should they also be changed to ISO-8859-1 ?

You should at least change the Display charset to ISO-8859-1. If you change the storage charset you may get warnings if there are any non ISO-8859-1 characters on your pages, otherwise if you want everything ISO-8859-1 it would be more efficient to change it as well.

Changed the Display charset to ISO-8859-1. this solved the problem. thanks a lot
