Appliance Update: Browser-error fix, Keep Links, Additional Fields

Post by Kai »

(This was posted earlier to the Search Appliance board.)

There are 3 new updates available:
texis-5.01.1159557523, texisScripts-6.1.1, and applianceman-6.1.1.

The texis update works around a Microsoft Explorer issue that can cause connection-reset and browser errors when updating All Walk Settings.

The texisScripts update adds the Keep Links setting for skipping <form action> etc. links, and the Additional Fields setting for adding additional data for query display/sorting/searching.

The applianceman update adds documentation for the last two features.

These updates are available via the Maintenance -> Check for Updates link on the Appliance.

The texisScripts package has been updated to version 6.1.2 which will allow the additional fields to be sorted descending as well as ascending.

The texisScripts package has been updated to version 6.1.3 so that results in meta searches will appear in the right order.

It also adds a debug mode to the scripts for use with tech support, as well as supporting updates from CDs on a wider range of appliances.
