Question about Maximum refresh times

Post by michel.weber »

Hi

I was trying to track down a problem with stale links in the index.

Default Refresh Time = 1 hour
Minimum Refresh Time = 1 minute
Maximum Refresh Time = 90 days

Last walk was 29/08/2007 5:00

I found some curious results :

link 1 :

Indexed: 2007-02-15 14:31:49
Modified: 2007-02-15 14:31:49
Last Visit: 2007-06-28 05:13:08
Next Visit: 2007-09-18 16:56:20

I would have thought that the next visit should have been scheduled around 18 august???

Link 2 :

Indexed: 2007-02-15 15:17:15
Modified: 2007-02-15 15:17:15
Last Visit: 2007-06-15 05:04:52
Next Visit: 2007-08-27 17:02:19

Notice that the 'Next Visit:' date is in the past ...

System Information
...
Load: 4:43pm up 20 days, 17:32, 0 users, load average: 1.35, 1.05, 0.55
Time: 2007-08-29 16:43:12

Whats going on here?

Have i misunderstood something about what 'Maximum Refresh Time = 90' days means?

Question about Maximum refresh times

The next visit time can be anywhere between min and max refresh time from the last visit depending on how dynamic
Webinator decides the page is. It refines it's idea of how dynamic it is each time it visits. Your first example has next visit less than 90 days from last visit. That's normal. Your second example will be revisited on the next refresh cycle.
