If I have 2 resumes

resume 1) contains only the word "texis" in it.

resume 2) contains "word word word word texis word word word" in it

when searching on the word "texis" the one that only contains texis shows up as being "more relevant"

I am trying to find a way so that the one with more text in it (a more complete resume) will show up higher.

Is this possible using the ranking commands?

Lead bias is probably the main thing for this case. Turn that off. See Rank Knobs in the manual.

Another potential solution is if you do have a way of calculating an overall score for the resume, which may include the length, source or other features you can sort by an expression including the relevance and your metric to tailor the ranking more precisely.
