License Violation in the function createdb

Post by wanah »

Hi,

I had downloaded and installed the trial webinator 5.1 version on our solaris web servers and I am able to start up the administrative interface.

But when wanted to create a new profile, I will get this error "License Violation in the function createdb"

Hence what could be the problem?Pls advise.
Thanks!

From a shell or command window cd to the installation
directory where "texis" is and run
./texis -license
to get details. You've probably exceeded the free usage levels which prevents creating of new databases. Also make sure that the server where Webinator is installed has direct access to the internet and can reach ls.thunderstone.com on port 80.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your reply! But I am having problem in issuing the ./texis -license command. I gotten "Cannot execute" error in shell when trying to run all the texis command.

Any idea?

Thanks!

Sorry, that should be

bin/texis -license

If you still have problems run the following commands and copy and paste the entire session back here. (Replace INSTALLDIR with the full path to the directory where you installed Webinator.)

id
uname -a
cd INSTALLDIR
pwd
ls -l . bin
bin/texis -license

That is a license for Version 4 that may still have existed. If you contact sales@thunderstone.com we can send you an evaluation license key to install.

You sent the request only an hour before posting here. The sales staff generally works 10-6 eastern time. Please be patient while they process your request.
