update.thunderstone.com is up. When did you try it? Did you try more than once?

Do you have a firewall or proxy that might be down or blocking internet connectivity?

Yes we do. What firewall settings must we update for the appliances to pass data through the firewall?

The appliance needs to access update.thunderstone.com on port 80.

I'm being asked by our network team if the appliance(s) can support NTLM Proxy authentication.

The Appliance does not currently support NTLM proxies, only Basic Auth proxies (though it does support NTLM direct crawling). We should be able to add NTLM proxy support sometime early this quarter, though of course you'll still need direct (or Basic-Auth proxy) access to obtain updates through that time (or obtain a CD from us).
