For the second day in a row, I discovered that I had over 250 monitor process running on my box. What would cause so many processes to be spawned?
Running the wrong user?
What's the command line for those processes?
Does monitor.log shed any lignt?
There should be one overall monitor plus one for each active database. If you haven't disabled chkind (automatic metamorph index update) you may occasionally see one monitor each for various databases.
