Configuration settings

Post by PSC webmaster »

Hi guys,

I have been assigned to take over the Thunderstone appliance at our organization, so I have a (hopefully) simple question.

In the event of catastrophic data loss, we can rebuild Thunderstone to its default configuration. The previous person responsible for Thunderstone made changes, possibly not limited to the profiles. Is there any way I can save these settings to facilitate disaster recovery? Thanks for any info.

Go to Maintenance->Save Search Appliance settings->Download to download an xml file of your profile and global settings which can later be used by Maintenance->Restore Search Appliance settings.

Note that it doesn't save system level items such as IP, DNS, and remote mounts.
