Free version and internet access

We are planning on using the free version of Webinator. I am installing this for a non-profit education institution. I have two questions:

1. Why does the server running webinator need internet access to ls.thunderstone.com port 80?

2. And somewhat related to question #1, is the indexed database created by Webindator stored on our local server or stored on thunderstone.com? For security reasons, I need to make sure no critical information leaves our network.

Thanks,
Kory

1. The Free Webinator checks back with our license server to make sure it is not being abused. It only reports on usage statistics, and does not send back any content that has been indexed or settings you have used.

2. The indexed database is stored on your server.
