XML Output / Results Authorization / User-Agent

Post by rjhertzberg »

All -

When the Thunderstone appliance is performing the results authorization, what user-agent does it pass to the indexed site? Can this be set manually?

I have run into a situation where one of my appliances seems to be passing the User Agent as "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; T-H-U-N-D-E-R-S-T-O-N-E)", but the other appliance is passing it as "-". I can't seem to figure out what the difference is.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Russell

If the appliances are up to date, it should be using the "User Agent" setting from the All Walk Settings page in its resauth requests.

OK, that was strange.... I ended up changing the value in the walk settings from it's default "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; T-H-U-N-D-E-R-S-T-O-N-E)" and it started passing the new value. Then I changed it back and it worked just fine...

Thanks!
