Is there a way to search for a specific type of file (e.g., display only PDF files that match a particular search criteria).
Also, are there any reporting tools that will tell you how many files of each type that have been indexed?

It's not on the standard form but you can add a parameter called "mtq" to the query as in
http://MyAppliance/texis/search/?pr=def ... od&mtq=pdf
See "Issuing a Query Programmatically" in the docs.
You can lookup urls by pattern using Profile Tools->List
Edit URLs. But there's no report that summarizes all types.

Thanks! That worked for me...this seems like such a basic type of search. Any idea why it's not available via the search box or advanced search, or whether it's planned for future implementation?

Hi mates,
Have anyone got a search plugin which will search product type? I tried product type filtering module but this is not what I need.
I would like that VM or Joomla will search in _vm_product_type table.
Thanks

We do not have a plugin for VM/Joomla. While our search is able to search various fields it may require significant integration to work in Joomla.
