Appliance update: texis-7.06.14984...

Post by Kai »

A new appliance update is now available: texis-7.06.14984... It contains the following fixes:

* Crawls could ABEND, especially after SSL handshake error, in <urlinfo headerparam>

* Fixed JavaScript ABEND when scriptmem/JavaScript Memory is set very low (20,000)

* Large pages with lots of DOM items (links etc.) could lose links or other items due to JavaScript exceeding scriptmem and erroneously causing partial or complete page failure, even if no <script>s on page

* Some Excel documents' hi-bit characters, especially in the range U+0080 - U+00FF, may be printed incorrectly, often in Cyrillic instead of Western European

* With Cache Content in use, any XML files (RSS etc.) crawled that contain self-closing tags (<tag/>) could cause opening and ending tag mismatch and/or Error parsing stylesheet errors

* An HTML page with links with 16 or more attributes could cause an ABEND

* Excel spreadsheet with hi-bit/Windows-1252 characters in title was erroneously showing title in Japanese as Shift-JIS

* Searches with Quotes for Literal enabled, a quoted term, and a linear/post-process ranking search needed (e.g. during a Refresh walk when the index is out of date) may have caused an ABEND. Workaround is to disable Quotes for Literal.

* Hit highlighting may fail to highlight query sets that have unclosed double-quotes

* Avoid getting Internal error: misaligned state 1 on some secondary NTLM (Windows integrated authentication) page fetches

* A fetch of a page with JavaScript that attempts to modify an HttpOnly cookie may memleak

This update is available via the System -> System Setup -> Update Software menu item for those with active Maintenance.
