Hello:

I still have the earlier version 2 running (not the most recent 2.5
version). I did see the message asking everyone to upgrade, but I figured
if it ain't broke...

My current search scripts have been customized. Is it OK to download
version 2.5 and install it without having to readjust/reconfigure the old
search scripts. Will it just run perfectly and find all the databases
created and being rewalked by the old version?

I see a new search script that will proffer the first contextual hit on the
page, instead of the "first guess" at content. Nice!

If one still uses the old version, can the new search script just plug
right into use under the old version?

Your existing scripts should work with the new Webinator. Using the new
search script with the old software may not (you're welcome to try, but
don't look for support for that). If you encounter problems check the
source of the results page for error messages embedded inside of html
comments.
