Webinator Implementation

Post by Thunderstone »

I pulled down the webinator (linux version) and installed it on our
Pentium PC. Next I ran the "gw" command against our website and then I
indexed it. It seemed to run OK. However, when I execute the webinator
search I get the error message
"ERROR: Can't open /usr/local/morph3/equivs: No such file or directory"
And the search fails.

Can you give me any direction. I do not have a /usr/local/morph3
directory.

Also, I'm not sure where the DB was actually created. I have the
html.tbl, ref.tbl, some other tbl files, and several blb and btr files.

I then created a second DB (called infola) and don't see where anything
was added or created differently.

Lastly, if you use a seperate DB I'm not sure how the search would find
it. Do I have to create a seperate CGI or does the system do it for me?

I would appreciate any feedback you could give. THanks.

How are you executing the search? What Url?

All Webinator files are kept in the subdirectory "webiantor" in the html
document directory you specified during installation. Each database is a
separate directory.

Modify the search form's db hidden variable. Set it to the name of your
new database (infola).
