Webinator Search Problem

Post by Thunderstone »

In answer to your question, "which URL" do I use when I run the search and
get the error message, "Can't open /usr/local/morph3/aequivs: No such file
or directory"----

1. I first run the URL-- http://wwwsrch.doa.state.la.us/webinator

2. This brings up the "See this to perform a search" I hypertext to the
"this" which has the href http://wwwsrch.doa.state.la.us/cgi-bin/webinator

3. This brings up the primary query form which I use to search for
"louisiana". Then I get the error.

Thanks, I'll try what you suggested. Will you let me know when the next
release is available or do I have to keep checking?

Ok, just checking. That's an older version that did not have the pathing
all fixed. We are working on the next release... We will announce it
here when its ready.

In the meantime, you can create a softlink to resolve the problem. Link
equivs to SYSOBJECTS.tbl in the webinator/.master directory.
e.g.: (assuming that your html documents are in /usr/local/httpd/htdocs)
mkdir /usr/local
mkdir /usr/local/morph3
ln -s /usr/local/httpd/htdocs/webinator/.master/SYSOBJECTS.tbl /usr/local/morph3/equivs

As I said, we will announce the new version on this list which
you are subscribed to. So, as long as you check your mailbox
occasionally, you will read about it.
