Webinator/Domain question

Post by Thunderstone »

Howdy,
Just downloaded webinator to evaluate for use with a client's
web site. A limitation on your registration form gave me
a scare however. Here's my situation:

1) I run SunOS 4.1.3 with multiple virtual domains for clients.
The machine is really ezweb.com, but the client I'm investigating
for is www.watersinfo.com.

2) Your registration form wouldn't let me specify the two above
names -- it complained that they have to be the same domain name.
I tried just an IP address for the web server, but it didn't like
that either. Maybe 2 IP addresses would have been OK? I didn't
try that one.

3) I ended up specifying www.ezweb.com as the Web Server -- and
it let me download the software.

Question: am I going to now have problems if I attempt to use
it via www.watersinfo.com? Should I re-register with IP addresses
if there is a problem?

Also: I have other virtual domains that this may be useful:
Princeton Online comes to mind at www.princetonol.com. Also
carnegie.org and cmwf.org have much indexable material. Is there
a problem using webinator (1 copy) on a single machine to support
multiple virtual web sites, each with there own domain?
Inquiring minds want to know.

TIA,

P.S. I knew that Princeton Univ was evaluating search/index
engines -- it appears that they liked you and that's how I
found out about Webinator.
