indexing level

Is there any way to index only 3 levels deep from the homepage?

I didn't understand something in the documentation;
In the documentation it says:
that >they reference will be.

So with -o gw will index outside links, but not second level outside links?
Is that the idea?

Right.

If you want to index entire outside sites, you need to specify
them on the gw command line.
