A couple of questions...(what else?)
1. Is Webinator validating the license every time it performs a search
query, or just initially, at startup?
2. Also, what is the practical limit of the number of files it can search?
3. I'm interested in the physical size of the Webinator residing on a
server (Solaris platform).
Thanks!

It checks the first time, and on concurrent user increments of 5,10,20,50,100...
Not really, if you've got a big enough machine it will index it.
Properly set up, you can easily index a few million documents.
Since the database holds an ascii translation of the HTML, the database
will be roughly the same size as the data it indexes.
