I consulted the HTML Parser Guru here, and he informed me that
Webinator 1.2's parser ga-schnubs the ISO character set into
an ascii approximation (eg. "E" for É ), but
Webinator 1.3 does the 8 bit ISO translation correctly.
You will _still_ have to modify your indexing expression to
allow the characters of the 8 bit character set unless your
machine's native charset is ISO.
1.3 provides a bunch of other feature upgrades. We will enumerate
them all in another note. The most requested feature; "Rank Title
Hits Higher" is in there!
We were holding up the official release until we had all the platforms
available. ADOBE is preventing us from doing this because their PDF
libraries have an interesting feature (bug) that prevents us from being
able to get pages out of their files in the correct order. We should have
this resolved next week.
Free Webinator users on AIX, BSDI, SCO, and Solaris may download 1.3.1
from the site now.
