Hello there,

I downloaded and installed the free version of Webinator about three
weeks ago, and everything was working fine until yesterday, when the
folloing error appeared:

Error

License not approved: missing/garbled data.

I have dropped the database and rebuilt it, is there anything else I
can do?

It's not related to the database, but the inablity to communicate to the
license server correctly. It would appear that you are running on a different
host than you used to be (temp-router instead of roisin).
Perhaps you are now behind a firewall that doesn't pass all of the
license data thru correctly to the license server. It uses the standard
web POST protocol. Make sure you can issue POST's thru your new system.

The IP address of the machine has changed, but the name is the same.
Is this likely to be a problem? Where can I set the new IP address?

The change of IP is not a problem. I was taking that as a potential indication
that the machine has been moved (physically or electronically), perhaps to
somewhere behind a firewall/gateway that does not pass everything through
correctly. You need to find out if there's a machine between you and the
internet, that was not there before or has been reconfigured, that is
(mis)interpreting your web POST's.

When this happened to me, it was the result of a sub-standard proxy
server.
