Using Example Scripts ie"verity"

Post by Thunderstone »

When utilizing the sample scripts, how is the file used (saved)since the
screen it is designed to replace is in the "webinator.exe" file ?
And can this code be added on to other HTML pages in the site, to give
the flexibility of searching from other existing pages ?

These scripts do not replace any executable. They are Texis Web
Scripts, like the `search' script installed in /webinator. They should
be placed in your /webinator directory, and are run by the
/cgi-bin/texis.exe executable. Once the script is copied, the URL would
be something like /cgi-bin/texis.exe/webinator/scriptname (assuming a
standard Web server installation).

Yes, you can modify the script itself; the examples are intentionally
minimal so it's easy to expand them. Or you can copy the initial search
form they present to other HTML pages. See
