Webinator 1.3 has been released. You may pick up the free versions at:

Significant changes in this version are:
*Rank order: The rank method has been altered to provide biasing towards
matches in the beginning of a document. (ie TITLES)
*Installation: You no longer have to have root access to install it.
You may install it anywhere on the server.
*Formatting: Even better formatting for various HTML elements and
image ALT text.
*Abstracts: The brains behind the document abstract generator (shown
on the hit listing) have been improved. It tries to find
the first chunk of _real_ text on the page.
*Character set: It will properly translate 8 bit ISO characters.
This provides better foreign language support.
*Duplicate docs: It can now be told to universally ignore replicated documents.

*Copy Website : Will now re-author the html to be correct for the destination
site. (See: -C -A )
*robots.txt : now respects port addresses.
*DNS cache : Faster and uses fewer file handles.
*Reload : Now respects -wait period.

*PDF : We are still trying to get Adobe to fix their API.
*T1000 Only : Texis Web Script 2.0 is now included in the package.
A full Texis upgrade will be required ($400).
