I've taken quite a few calls over this, so here's some clarification
on the PDF plug-in:
1: We are official-dyed-in-the-wool Adobe developers and Webinator uses
their API's.
2: Adobe's platform support options are limited to:
SunOS, Solaris, HP-UX, Windows NT, SGI, and AIX
3: Our plug-in is only available with the Commercial Webinator and
only for the platforms that Adobe supports. IE No Linux, SCO,
Unixware, or OSF/1

4: It costs $600.
IMHO usage of PDF on a website should be limited to collateral documents
where you have no other choices available. They tend to be very large
documents and they don't provide any structural information (like
Titles ). I rather think it should be named Portable Printing Format
instead of Portable Document Format. Usage of the word document
implies a lot more than is actually possible within the the current
PDF spec. Adobe is promising better structural data in PDFII.
On the positive side, the Webinator's context view provides a great
way to allow the users to preview PDF documents before they actually have
to commit to downloading them.
Thanks
