Hi

I need some clarification about categories ...
Categories i have defined do not seem to include documents from subdirectories (although they are indexed)

For example http://www.coe.int/t/e/*
Does the resulting category include only pages in .../t/e
or does it also include pages in sub-directories thereof?

It should include anything with the prefix "http://www.coe.int/t/e/"

Use List/Edit urls to experiment with categories. Enter your pattern there and see what it finds.

What's an example url that's in the database and you think it should get but doesn't?

Another question concerning categories.

Is it possible to select severa categories for one query?

Ideally instead of the single-select dropdown list could we have multiple select (or check boxes), if not can the 'cq' parameter accept a list of values (ie &cq=1,2,3)?

Only one category can be searched at a time.

More on categories :

It seems that categories don't work for meta profiles. Is this normal?

Back with more

It seems that for a profile that has never been walked 'categories' don't show up on the search form.

How am i supposed to make them visible on a profile which is the destination of a a replication, and as such is not supposed to to be walked?

Did you setup the destination profile with the same categories in the same order as the source profile?

Yes

All were created from the same master profile.

I tested the behaviour by creating a new profile (without any replicating).
As long as it has not been walked, categories are not visible in the search page, but after the first walk, the drop-down list suddenly appears.
