Categories - reading from HTML

Is it possible to indicate which category(ies) a indexed web page should be attached to in the HTML?
Something like: <meta name="category" value="somecat">
If yes, would the category already have to be defined in the profile?

Not currently, but such a feature is on the wish list. I'd expect the categories would have to exist in the profile to prevent malicious/random category creation.
