sluggish command response

I just recently downloaded webinator and installed it on an SGI Indigo 2
MIPS R4000 64MB running IRIX 5.3. It takes about a minute and a half
just to run "gw -H".

Any ideas?

Is that just the first time or every time? I assume that time is taken
before you see any output.

Perhaps you have a slow nameserver or net connection. gw must contact
ls.thunderstone.com before it will run. How long does:
nslookup ls.thunderstone.com
take?
How long does it take you to get to http://www.thunderstone.com in comparison?

There had been a cork in our network. The pipe is now clear. gw is fast.
