Webinator works fine on Version 2.x kernels and libm.so.5.0.6 .
Have you run ldconfig?

Are you referring to webinator the cgi search program or gw the walker?
How were you invoking it? Is this perhaps a chroot'd cgi
environment that doesn't have libm.so.5.0.6 copied into
the right place?
