webinator probs.

My site was just indexed and now i have the search cababilities runnin
gon my site but i have two questions:
1. do i really need to download the software? what does it do? because
it seems to running fine without it.
2. the web page i am making is for a grant within columbia university,
but we do not want our index to include all of columbia universities
pages. is there a way to cut them out of the index?

There are 2 ways to use webinator freely. Use the
"Index Your Site (We maintain it for you)" service (which is what you did).
There is no need to download the software for this service. Just use the
form we send you. This method provides a subset of the features available
in a webinator walk and requires that you enter all of the options you
want the first time out. And rewalking occurs every 30 days.

The other is to download the software and install it on your own web server
and run walks yourself. All features of free webinator are available and you
may rewalk as needed.

In question 2 you are asking for an option (-j) that would require
downloading and installing webinator on your web server.
