To quote the free Webinator download page, http://www.thunderstone.com/texis/site/ ... intro.html

"The free Webinator must have direct access to the Internet on port 80 to run. (This may sound like an oxymoron, but some people have internal webs behind firewalls and proxies.) The Webinator checks with Thunderstone to validate its license."

Specifically, it must be able to contact ls.thunderstone.com on port 80.

Did you run your portscanner from the same machine where you are running Webinator?
What version of Webinator are you running? Run
gw -version
to find out. Include version AND release when reporting back to us.

Probably. The free version requires direct access (no proxy)
to ls.thunderstone.com on port 80.

Have you read the other messages in this thread yet?
Have you ensured that you can contact ls.thunderstone.com with a web browser that is not configured to use a proxy and is running on the same machine as gw?
