File "copy.gif" ?

Post by Thunderstone »

Dear List Members,

I have installed Webinator for WinNT and it looks to be running
fine however I face the following issues:

- image at bottom of pages is:

http://www.ctlbbs.com.sg/CGI-BIN/TEXIS.EXE/copy.gif

-> no image is displayed ? Where to put this image or how
to delete this statement ?

I have added a bottom.html, but that does not seam to help.

- Webinator does not return page context or URL links as well
as URL's similar to the search request ? Webinator 'jumps"
back to the the search input screen instead.

Hope to get some help,
Regards,
Chris.

You are using a webserver called Alibaba/2.0 . It is apparently defective.
It it translating all incoming requests to uppercase before passing them
to the texis.exe program. So Texis gets "/COPY.GIF" instead of "/copy.gif".
Alibaba will similarly mangle urls with state information so the context
and other buttons will not work.

Check your configuration settings to see if there's a way to disable that
behavior. Or get a different web server that doesn't mangle requests.
