For a company that delivers state of the art search engines, i must admit that the forums search capabilities are disasterous!!

As far as i have tried, there is NO ability to select a scope within the main boards (or at least show what board the posting was from, when searching) and boolean options doesnt work either!

Its _very_ hard to narrow down a search without those options! More words just gets you more results... :-(

Any comments from Thunderstone?

Ok now at least i found out how to use scope...

...but it was more by luck than anything else (i searched, and then clicked the Webinator board).

This ofcourse isnt shown anywhere... lets just hope others has found out by chance also :p

The default is to search across all Thunderstone support boards, because there is so much overlap among those topics.
AND logic is enabled. Just use + in front of each required term. For example, query
+state +art
will retrieve this thread.

Ok just one last burp ;-)

Subscribe is a nice feature, but why cant you subscribe to a thread that you just started up yourself?

Since noone has replied yet, it would seem its not considered a thread. Hence you dont get a Subscribe link. :-(

Thanks for pointing that out. You should be able to subscribe to a thread you started. If looks as if the subscribe link is missing from the page when you post, so you do need to reenter the thread to subscribe.
