How to begin?

I am taking over a site that uses Webinator and need to know how to open webinator and begin the search. I am using a Unix machine so I need step by step instructions from logging on etc. Thanks

Searching is performed from a web browser, not a login terminal. The url varies depending on your system but will be something like
http://yoursite/cgi-bin/texis/webinator/search

Indexing your site occurs from a login terminal. You use the "gw" command. If you look at the gw.log file in the .../webinator/db directory you should be able to see the gw command(s) that was previously used to index your site.
