counter variables

Post by sabety »

How can I create a counter variable?

e.g.

<loop max=50>
<sum %s "group\[" $loop "\]=!\)+\)+">
<rex $ret $groups>
<$group[$loop] = $ret> //this is the bit! I want the variables to be like $group1 $group2 etc.//
</loop>

there is probably a better way but I'm stuck in this at the moment.
thanks

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? There are a few different approaches you can take, depending on the desired result.

Found another way of doing this. Thanks

On another note, I am leaving my current job and moving back to the states (LA). Having worked with Texis for almost 5 years, I was wondering if you folks keep a roster of freelance vortex/texis consultants? I am fairly adept with the tool and created a content publishing system with it as the back end for our website, which was also entirely scripted in votex. I am a huge fan of the product and would hate to end my relationship with it.

many thanks

Yes, we do keep track of Vortex/Texis consultants who may be able to help our customers. We were impressed with the UNHCR site. When are you moving? If you send us your new contact information we can keep that on file here, and if you want to discuss what you would be interested in doing either give me a call, or let us know a good time and number to reach you.
