Indexing on NT, receiving signal 11

Post by Thunderstone »

I'm trying to setup an index using Webinator for NT, with very little
success. It continues to exist with "Got signal 11 - quitting now". signal
11 is "general error", and I've had no luck consistently replicating the
problem. It aborts every single time, but over the course of 8 runs,
there's no pattern as to number of sites accessed, number of failed urls,
etc. Any ideas what could be causing this?

This is with version 2.12.

Also, are the debug levels documented anywhere?

Thanks,
Brett

Without some consistent pattern it is difficult to know what might be
causing the problem. The most likely culprit is running out or some
resource, whether memory, disk space or something else. Do you have
sufficient disk space and memory? How many sites does it walk before
running into a problem (a few, hundreds, thousands)? Will it pick up
where it left off, or does a particular URL always cause problems?
