Most of the subscribers to this list are in the services biz
just like we are. Most of us probably experience a ratio of 99
complaints to 1 positive comment. Its not that users lack appreciation
for what you're doing when its good, its just that they are usually to
busy to say anything at all unless they're having a problem.
The best machines in the world are the ones that don't require any attention
and perform their function well. These are the ones that also tend to go
unnoticed. (This may also explain why Win95 gets so much attention.)
When is the last time you actually noticed how well your refrigerator works?
We try pretty hard to be as reliable as a refrigerator, but it really
makes our day when someone actually notices that we're just doing our job.
