NT 4.0 and Webinator

Post by Thunderstone »

I downloaded Webinator last night and tried to get it working on my IIS 2.0
NT Server under NT 4.0 SP1. It ells me can't find the gif file at
localhost/webinator (even though I installed it right into the root) and
then ells me it can't find the gif when I type in the right url. I can get
to the URL correctly from a web browser so its getting copied to the right
directory. But webinator can't find it. Any suggestions?

Here's my reason for downloading webinator. Maybe someone can direct me to
a different or better solution. I need to maintain a list of external (i.e.
not on my subnet or server) URLs in a SQL database. I want to be able to
check and make sure they are still up, and I want to be able to search them
for certain keywords. Indexing them would be cool as well, but only if I
could take the index and load it into SQL server. Anybody kow if webinator
is going to help me do this, if I can ever get it up.

The install script appears to be having trouble talking to the Web Server.
You can leave the URL empty and hit cancel as you are installing into the
default location.
