query analysis order

Post by Thunderstone »

I am setting up a system of pre-packaged search strategies
(http://ericae2.educ.cua.edu/scripts/ewiz/expert.htm) of the
form

(A,B)(C,D)

Many of the sets are phrases.

With an indexed database, does Webinator stop evaluating a
record with the first false set?
Is it better (e.g. faster) to put the rare sets first or last?

Ordering of "rare" terms in a query does not matter. The only time that
ordering matters at all is in a ranked search where text having the
same word ordering as the query will be preferred.
