walking gw from other location

Dear webinator,

I tried to walk commercial gw from other server as you wrote in =
instruction
"gw may reside, and you may do walks from elsewhere (as long as it is =
the
same CPU type and operating system), but you must get the resultant
database to the web server via ftp or some other means",

but it is not working!

How can I run gw from other PC with the same OS and CPU?
What means "the same CPU"?

You do not say how it is not working. You are able to use gw in the
same manner on any machine, and then copy the database. Which part
is not working, the walking or the subsequent searching?

For example you could not copy a database walked with Solaris for Intel
to a Sparc box, and expect it to run.

I solved this problem by installing full webinator on second PC, but use =
only gw. But is is difficult, if i would like to run gw from other =
(service providers) PC.
