Indexing restricted pages on NT 4/IIS 4

The -U and -P don't seem to work on my site. I keep getting HTTP 401 errors and I'm sure that the passwords and accounts are valid. Is there some quirk to the way this works with NT/IIS? What about if the access to the web site is restricted to NT domain accounts?

Gw only knows the basic authentication scheme, not the "Windows NT Challenge/Response" which is a proprietary Microsoft method only supported by Internet Explorer.

Is there a work around in the Enterprise Edition to support site that use NT Challenge/Response?
