Document abstract

Post by Thunderstone »

One of my users noticed that document abstracts on the results page,
advertized to be the first few lines of the document, are actually
lines found some paragraphs into the document. Not that it is really
critical, but could someone tell me what is going on, or how to find
out what is going on?

The abstracter tries to find the first few lines of the real document,
and skip over anything which looks like it might be simply header data,
navigation bars and the like. If you do not want it to skip to the
first chunk of real text you can add the following to the search form
you use.

<input type=hidden name=abs value=0>
