desiging the interface

I have viewed the customizing webinator pages on the site and attempted to drop the "Alta Vista" interface code into an html page.

In what context will the page display correctly? I am developing on a machine that is separate from the box that houses the webinator install.

How do I incorporate the vortex html into my page so that I can preview it and then upload to the box running webinator ?

The vortex code must run on the machine running webinator.

Vortex generates the entire results page. You would modify the "top" and "bottom" functions of the av script to generate the desired surroundings for the search form and results.
