why does my gw hang

Here is what i type at the command line

gw -d"c:\my.db" -v0 -l"c:\my.log" -wipe -M/"Agent" -noindex -unique -b -R -t180 -q600 -fjhtml -jhttp://www.mysite.com &url.lst

You can't combine -wipe and -unique. You're just getting -unique which involves rebuilding an index. If your dataset is large it could take some minutes. You should use -wipe first by itself. Then -unique by itself. Then do the walk. You don't want to do -unique and rebuild it's index for every partial walk.
